The Viza Hotel was officially opened in 1977 being one of the first hotels in Arequipa. The dream of its founder, the successful businessman Andrés Viza Cala, was to build a hotel where every guest would feel like at home and he put his heart and soul into it.

The needs and requirements of contemporary travellers have significantly changed lately. Therefore it was decided to completely change the style of the hotel preserving its original essence. Since 2017 the hotel has been remodelled according to the newest international trends in design and architecture in a modern and minimalist style.
